Funeral for Margaret Powell Hanners, 72, of Hartselle was Monday, April 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Hanners died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 31, 1935, in Cullman County to John Walter Powell and Virgie Defoe Powell. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle and was preceded in death by her husband, Buel Hanners.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Weaver and husband James of Hartselle and Brenda Marsch and husband Dr. Walter Marsch of Philpot, Ky.; two sisters, Bess Dykes and husband Cliff of Decatur and Dessie Brown and husband Sonny of Cullman; and five grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Jeffrey Jones, Jeremy Jones, Michael Marsch and Patrick Marsch.
Pallbearers were Matthew Jones, Michael Marsch, Jeffrey Jones, Jeremy Jones, Patrick Marsch and James Alan Phillips.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or your favorite charity.
