Funeral for Ralph Stinson Evans, 79, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), March 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Gable officiating. Burial will be in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Evans died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1928, in Morgan County to Howard Stinson Evans and Lillie Bertha Hopper Evans. He was a veteran of the Korean War, a retired farmer and a retired union carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Ray Johnson, a son, Joe Howard Evans and two brothers, Harold Simmons and Charles H. Evans.
He is survived by two sons, Phillip Evans and Michael Ray Evans, both of Falkville; a daughter, Jan Hopkins of Hartselle; two sisters, Katherine Hogan of Falkville and Sara Evans Chandler of Cullman; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
