Weddings and engagements

Wagner, Woodard exchange vows
Andrea Lee Wagner of Hartselle and Wesley Royce Woodard of Decatur, were wed Aug. 18, 2007, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Decatur.
The wedding was performed by Rev. Mike Whisenant of Warrior.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Seymore of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. Scott Wagner of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Leslie Biggs of Decatur and Ronald Woodard of Lakeland, Fla.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white silk razmire strapless gown by Lazaro with a ruched sweetheart bodice.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet consisting of white polo roses and Eskimo roses wrapped in silk and heirloom pearls.
April Wagner Looney, sister of the bride, of Decatur, and Allison Wagner Hamm, sister of the bride, of Courtland, were matrons of honor. Lauren Allen of Decatur was maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Erin Seymore, sister of the bride, of Cullman, Laurie Davis-Mills, cousin of the groom, of Anniston, Ashley Bolton of Decatur, Nicole Ceci of Decatur, Leighann Holley Craig of Nashville, Tenn., Ashley Mosely of Madison, Jessica Slocumb Prater of Hartselle and Allison Cole Pruitt of Decatur.
Flower girls were Ally Hamm, niece of the bride, of Courtland and Addison Hamm, niece of bride, of Courtland.
William Biggs, cousin of the groom, of Decatur, was best man.
Groomsmen were: Anthony Hamm, brother-in-law of the bride, of Courtland, Chris Looney brother-in-law of bride, of Decatur, Brinton Davis, cousin of the groom, of Franklin, Tenn., Jondie Davis-Franklin, cousin of the groom, of Franklin, Tenn., Brad Case of Memphis, Tenn., Wes Moore of Decatur, Adam McCulloch of Decatur, Jay Partlow of Decatur, Brannon Plemons of Decatur and Adam Pruitt of Decatur.
Ushers were Evan Seymore, brother of bride, of Cullman, Dave Clemons of Decatur and Jon Patten, groom's cousin, of New Market.
Ring bearers were McAlister Smith of Hartselle and Cole Pruitt of Decatur.
Reader was Seth Watson, cousin of bride, of Hartselle.
Music was provided by Brenda Berryman of Decatur and vocalist Trey Allred of Decatur.
A reception was held at Burningtree Country Club in Decatur, with music provided by The O'Kaysions from Columbia, SC.
Wedding director was Elizabeth Mardis of Decatur. Registering guests were Haley Inscho of Decatur, Allison Brothers of Decatur and Whitney Laughmiller of Decatur.
The couple honeymooned in Runaway Bay, Jamaica. They now reside in Decatur.
The couple was honored with several prenuptial events:

  • A rehearsal party was held at Quail Creek Clubhouse and was hosted by the groom's parents.
  • A runaway bride's weekend was held July 19 with bridesmaids and friends treating the bride to a few days in Destin, Fla.
  • A bridal tea was held July 29 in Decatur and hosted by Janette Bragwell, Dajuana Childers, Brenda Fairbanks, Sharon Few, Allison Hamm, Angie Hill, Cindy Kelley, Kathy Slocumb and Ellen Watson.
  • A groom's poker night was held Aug. 6 at Knight's Place Clubhouse and hosted by Wally Looney, Chris Looney, Jay Partlow, Wes Prater and Wes Moore.
  • A reception favor dinner and workshop was held Aug. 12 at the Decatur home of Shannon Anderson.
