Funeral for Jack Walker, 76, of Jasper, Ga., a former Hartselle resident, was Friday, Dec. 1, at Cagle Funeral Home in Jasper.
Burial was Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Walker died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. He was born April 6, 1930, to Harold and Izola Walker. He was a driver for the former Hartselle Ambulance Service, repaired televisions and painted signs for many years before retiring for health reasons. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving with the 24th Infantry after the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hazel Black Walker; a son, Tony Walker; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Walker of Jasper; Ga.; a daughter, Glenda Lamberti and husband Vince; four sisters, Clara Phillips, Ann Esposito, Betty Tallent and Gladys Wallis; six brothers, Eugene Walker, Ben Walker, Tom Walker, Larry Walker, Hugh Lee Walker and Johnny Walker; and two grandchildren, Andr/a and Joshua Lamberti.
