Funeral for Linda Howard Thrasher, 65, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), May 4, at 10 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Patton and Charles Goodall officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Thrasher died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Riverside Assisted Living in Decatur. She was born December 25, 1940, in Morgan County to O.D. Howard and Opal Plemons Howard. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lurleen Dobbs.
Mrs. Thrasher was a retired registered nurse. She worked at Decatur General Hospital for six years both as a nurse's assistant and a registered nurse. She retired from the former Lurleen Wallace Developmental Center after 16 1/2 years. She was a member of Westview Church of Christ in Hartselle. She was loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by three daughters, Tina Thrasher and Amy Thrasher, both of Hartselle, and Lana Thrasher of Birmingham; a brother, Lloyd Howard of Hartselle; and two sisters, Margean Puckett and Martha Stephenson, both of Hartselle.
Pallbearers will be David Thrasher, Reggie Corum, Russell Moore, Wayne Howard, Ron Howard, Jason Harris, Rusty Harris and Jeff Howard.
