Funeral for Douglas Legg, 64, of Decatur was Sunday, March 26, at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church with the Revs. Bob Cyphers and Thomas Elder officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Legg died Thursday, March 23, 2006 at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Sept. 18, 1941, in Morgan County to Earl Legg and Zola Mae Martin Legg. He attended Decatur Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Hope Legg and a brother, Charles Wayne Legg.
He is survived by three daughters, Danica Hicks and husband Tony and Lani Collier and husband Tracy, all of Athens, and Amanda McKee and husband Chuck of Decatur; a sister, Josephine Terry of Decatur; and seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Marvin Hopper, Junior Vaughn, David Clemons, Bobby Terry, Johnny McAbee and Matt Legg.
