James Kenneth 'Bill' Jenkins

Funeral for James Kenneth "Bill" Jenkins, 58, of Decatur was Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James DeKoker officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Jenkins died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Morgan County to Luther Raymond Jenkins and Ibra Elizabeth Jenkins of Decatur. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and retired from 3M Co. where he worked as a process operator in the film department. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Melva Jean Jenkins of Hartselle; a son, James Robert Jenkins and wife Gracie of Trinity; a daughter, Andrea Faye Waits and husband Shannon of Decatur; his mother, Ebra Elizabeth Jenkins of Decatur; two brothers, Robert Ray Jenkins of Decatur and John Richard Jenkins of Hartselle; and four grandchildren, Chase and Gage Waits and Seth and Chasity Jenkins.
Pallbearers were Mike Bice, Mark Jenkins, Ross Jenkins, Greg Garner, Jake Powers and Daniel Powers.
