Funeral for Bertha Caroline Drake, 62, of Hartselle was Friday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Smith officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Drake died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, at her residence. She was born July 23, 1943, in Morgan County to Henry Ford Adams and Dorothy Lee Fowler. She was a member of Serenity Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Dewayne Drake of Hartselle; two daughters, Nevis Simpson and husband Jerry and Dana Mooney and husband Michael; her mother, Dorothy Lee Fowler; four brothers, James Kelly Winsett and wife Kay, Andy Adams, Lamar Adams and wife Charlene and John Adams and wife Kathy; five sisters, Alecia Newsom, Margaret Brandson, Fonda McCartney and husband Danny, Cherie Adams, Rita Renota Smith and husband Lowery; two grandchildren, Justine Layne Cayce and Daniel Travis Cook; and two great-grandchildren, Kali Madison Cayce and Julian Randall Cayce.
Pallbearers were James Kelly Winsett, Andy Adams, Lamar Adams, John Adams, Lowery Smith and Daniel Cook.
The family would like to thank Dr. Waples and his staff for the generous and loving care they provided Bertha.
