Funeral for Arish Laverne Henry, 80, of Hartselle was Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry McElroy officiating.
Burial was in Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Henry died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Morgan County to Samuel Knox and Odie Duncan Knox. She was a lifelong member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers, Namon Knox, Walter Knox, Talmadge Knox, Rube Knox, Truman Sonny Knox and Billy Knox.
She is survived by her husband, Albert L. Henry of Hartselle; two sons, Bruce Henry and wife Diana and Hugh Henry and wife, Jo Ann, all of Hartselle; a daughter, Doris Henry Ward of Hartselle; two brothers, Odis Knox and Oscar Knox, both of Hartselle; eight grandchildren, Chad Henry, Christi McAbee and husband Troy, Kenneth Ward and wife Carmen, Ed Henry and wife Wendi and P.J. Henry and wife Kara, all of Hartselle, Nikki Ward of Vermont, Cindy Holsclaw and husband Jeff of Decatur, John Ward and wife Paula of Hillsboro; 13 great grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were John Ward, Kenneth Ward, Ed Henry, Chad Henry, P.J. Henry, Ryan Mayfield, Jeff Holsclaw and Troy McAbee.
