Fisher, Bennett to wed March 4
Greg and Anita Fisher of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Jo Fisher of Helena, to Michael Jason Bennett of Helena, son of Jay and Cindy Bennett of Helena.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2003 graduate of Auburn University where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority. She is employed with BellSouth Telecommunications of Birmingham as a sales representative. She is the granddaughter of Grace Smith of Madison, the late Calvin B. Smith, and the late G.B. and Margaret Fisher.
The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Pelham High School, attended Tabor College in Kansas where he was a member of the baseball and football teams, and is a 2003 graduate of Auburn University. He is employed with Bennett Building Inc. of Birmingham as a project manager. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Landmon of Homewood and the late Sam and Eunice Chandler.
The wedding will be held March 4 at Hartselle's First United Methodist Church.
Mullins, Nelson to wed July 8
Veda Dumas of Decatur announces the engagement of her daughter, Jana LeeAnn Mullins, to Cory Matthew Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Howard Nelson of Florence and the late Nelda Cobbs-Nelson.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of A.P. Brewer High School and a 2004 cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's of arts degree in psychology. She currently attends Argosy University in Atlanta and is pursuing a doctorate in clinical psychology.
She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Hollon Dumas.
The groom-elect is a 1996 graduate of A.P. Brewer High School, a 1998 graduate of Wallace State Community College with an associate's degree in industrial electronics, and a 2002 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's of electrical engineering degree, co-operative education degree, and a business minor. He is employed with GE Energy of Birmingham as an electrical engineer.
He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Cobbs and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roy Nelson.
The wedding will be held July 8 at 6 p.m. at South Side Baptist Church in Decatur.
