Funeral for Betty Jean Tuders Houser, 72, of Somerville was Saturday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Vandon Windsor and John Walker officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Houser died Thursday, June 23, 2005, at her residence. She was born March 4, 1933, in Colbert County to Elbert Lann Tuders and Eularve Cook Tuders. She was a member of Somerville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Charles Edward Tuders, Elbert Tuders Jr., J. T. Houser, James Q. Houser, William Floyd Houser and Calvin Varnell Houser; and one sister, Pauline Maxwell.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle E. Houser of Somerville; three sons, Joe Kevin Houser and wife Bonnie of Decatur, Vandon Elbert Houser and wife Wendy of Somerville and Kenneth Doyle Houser and wife Donna of Hartselle; one daughter, Doyce Jeanette Houser Turner and husband, Charlie of Union Grove; two brothers, Davis Houser and Lawrence Emery Houser; three sisters, Marvoline Tuders Fowler, Lorene Tuders Glover and Yvonne Cook; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Teric Turner, Valerie Collins, Konan Houser, Kendra Moore, Brandy Houser, Kassie Houser, Kandice Houser and Ashten Houser.
Honorary pallbearers were Casey Houser and Brad Houser.
