Jansen, Beason exchange vows
Amanda Jo Anne Jansen of Hartselle and Jerry Lynn Beason II of Decatur were married June 4 at 4 p.m. at Flint Church of Christ by Chris Pressnell.
Parents of the couple are Melissa Jansen of Hartselle and Jerry and Savann Beason of Decatur and Robert Jansen of Nashville.
Given in marriage by her brother, Jason Littrell, the bride wore a formal gown of white Duchess satin and re-embroidered European lace. The gown featured a molded bodice with a halter neckline. Appliques of re-embroidered European lace graced the bodice and cascaded over the full skirt.
Covered buttons graced the back of the bodice and the cathedral train. Her veil of imported French tulle was held by a bridal tiara of sterling silver and pearls.
She carried a bouquet of Porcelana, Polo and Titanic roses, with stems wrapped in satin. Amy Littrell of Hartselle was matron of honor.
Becky Milligan of Decatur was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Lovelady, Liz Hoffman and Michelle Olive, all of Decatur, and Chelsea Ballard of Jonesboro, Ark.
Livie Littrell of Hartselle and Hannah Dotson of Decatur were flower girls.
The bridegroom's father and Andrew Bosworth of Decatur were best men.
Groomsmen were Jason Jackson, Nick Mewbourn and Billy Doran, all of Decatur, and Ben Murphy of Moulton. Ushers were Mike Jones of Decatur and Lee Jones of Montgomery.
Blake Littrell of Hartselle was ring bearer.
Music was provided by Lori Lanier Neville, soloist.
A reception followed at the church.
Reception assistants were Lori Holder, Mary Reese, Breane Hall, Keri Murphy and Holly Flakes. Christy Stone was the wedding director. Rachel Diaz kept the bridal registry. Ty Keenum was the door greeter.
The bridegroom's parents and aunt, Tammy Brown, gave a rehearsal party at Flint Church of Christ.
After a wedding trip to Sandals Caribbean Resort in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Decatur.

Kristy Renee Smallwood and Bascom Anthony Smith, both of Somerville, were wed May 27, 2005, at Hartselle Wedding Chapel with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
The wedding was directed by Teri Appleton.
Vaughn, Emerson to wed July 23
Cecilia D. Vaughn of Trussville announces the engagement of her daughter, Deidre Marie Vaughn, to Matthew Joel Emerson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Emerson of Hartselle. Ms. Vaughn is also the daughter of the late William H. Vaughn.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hewitt-Trussville High School and a 2005 magna cum laude graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a bachelor's of music degree in cello performance. She plans to attend graduate school at the University of Houston Moores School of Music this fall.
She is a member of the Red Mountain Chamber Orchestra as principal cellist. While at Birmingham-Southern, she was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, College Republican representative, and Pi Kappa Lambda music student representative.
She is a free-lance cellist.
She is the granddaughter of Jane C. Vaughn of Birmingham, LeRoy Defibaugh of Hueytown and the late Virginia Defibaugh.
The groom-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School, a 2003 summa cum laude graduate of Birmingham-Southern College with a bachelor of science degree, and a 2005 graduate of Vanderbilt University with a master of science degree in computer engineering.
He was an honor graduate at Hartselle High School and a National Merit Finalist. At Birmingham-Southern, he was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society for Freshmen, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, 2002-2003 Charles B. Vail College Distinguished Research Fellow, Phi Beta Kappa member, College Republican Federation of Alabama treasurer and web master, and participated in the jazz and pep bands.
He received a Research Assistantship in Computer Engineering at Vanderbilt.
He is employed as a staff engineer at Vanderbilt University assigned to Boeing of Houston, Texas.
He is the grandson of Sue Pike Coughlin of Hartselle, the late Ira Mack Pike, and the late Hurdes A. and Anita Jo Emerson.
The wedding will be held July 23 at Huffman United Methodist Church in Birmingham.
