A graveside service for Kenneth M. Sharrott Sr., 80, of Hartselle was Monday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Sparks officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Sharrott died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 2, 1924, in Morgan County to Norman Corbett Sharrott and Clara Lucille Norris Sharrott. He was the manager of Joe Wheeler Co-op, from which he retired after 38 years of service and was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Sharrott; and two sisters, Dorothy Wright and Virginia Segars.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Sharrott of Hartselle; one son, Kenneth M. Sharrott, Jr. and wife Vicky of Hartselle; one brother, Frank Sharrott of Hartselle; four sisters, Amanda Sandlin, Jan Griffin, Ozell McAbee and Gail Puckett, all of Hartselle; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jimmy Hunnicutt, Adam Sloan, Chris Sandlin, Ferrell Vest, Craig Segars and Billy McAbee.
