Funeral for Rosa Nell Stacks Thomas, 85, of Hartselle was Tuesday, May 24, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial was in Decatur City Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Morgan County to Charles Thomas Stacks and Annie King Stacks.
She retired as an accountant with Federal Housing after 27 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. Mrs. Thomas, along with her late husband, Jack H. Thomas, founded Thomas Stables, Inc.
She is survived by one son, Jack Harding Thomas Jr. of Hartselle; one daughter, Jacquelyn Thomas Bowman of Hartselle; one brother, Fred E. Stacks of Hartselle; and one granddaughter, Katie Rose Bowman of Hartselle.
Pallbearers were Fred Stacks Jr., Tony Tyler, Joe Howell, Jim Tilley, Charles Quinn, J. E. Peck, David Blankenship and Bill Hart.
