Funeral for Irene Henderson Turner, 76, of Union Grove, will be Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Galyean and Pastor Bernard H. Ansorge officiating.
Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Turner died Monday, April 25, 2005, at her residence. She was born March 11, 1929, in Madison to Taylor Woodruff Henderson and Minnie C. Hill Henderson. She was retired from Kmart in Huntsville where she worked for 15 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Huntsville for 40 years and was also a member of Brindley Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Turner.
She is survived by one son, Charles Edwin Turner and wife Doyce of Union Grove; one daughter, Edith Gail Turner of Huntsville; one sister, Rosie Henderson of Westland, Mich.; one grandson, Teric E. Turner of Union Grove; and three great-grandchildren Ryleigh Turner, Jacey Turner and Alexis Turner, all of Somerville.
Pallbearers will be Teric Turner, Kenneth Houser, Travis Moore, Gerald Henderson and Barry Henderson. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley in Decatur or to the Alzheimer's Association.
