Funeral for James Malcolm King, 72, of Hartselle was Saturday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m. at Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerri Hunt officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. King died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born June 14, 1932, in Morgan County to Ira James King and Effie Boger King. He was retired from Wolverine Tube after 37 years of service. He was a member of Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a member of the United Methodist Men's Club. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 52. Mr. King was preceded in death by a brother, Harold King.
He is survived by his wife, Willodene Roberts King of Hartselle; three daughters, Carol King Deal and Donna King, both of Birmingham, and Sandra Raines of Hartselle; three brothers, Bill W. King and Fred King, both of Michigan, and Neil Quattlebaum of Hartselle; two sisters, Hazel King Pearson of Moulton and Doris King Scully of Michigan; and three grandchildren, Joseph Raines, Jaime Raines and Tyler Wells.
Pallbearers were Tyler Wells, Joseph Raines, Ramon Wallace, Jack Allen, Truman Bridges and Jerry Teichmiller.
Honorary pallbearers were members of the Fellowship Sunday school class.
