A graveside service for Carl Sim Brown, 97, of Falkville was Saturday, Jan. 15, at 1 p.m. at Falkville City Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Brown died Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 11, 1907, in Morgan County to Wallace Monroe Brown and Annie S. Aday Brown. He was a farmer and was retired from L&N Railroad as a foreman. He was a member of Falkville United Methodist Church. He was a family man and was loved and adored by many. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a son, Carl Brown, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 77 years, Nancy Foote Brown of Falkville; one daughter, Johnny Ruth Brown Walling of Gardendale; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
