A memorial service for Mary Grace Dunn, 91, of St. Croix Fall, Wis., will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Community Room in the Shoreview Apts., Balsam Lake, Wisc., at 1 p.m. with Edling Funeral Home of St. Croix Falls officiating.
Mrs. Dunn died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, one day after her 91st birthday, in St. Croix Falls. She was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Hartselle to Thomas A. and Maude Turney McDaniel. During much of her life Mrs. Dunn filled the role of homemaker and caregiver but her true vocation was poetess, much of her work having been published during her years of residence on California's Monterey Peninsula. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph McDaniel and John McDaniel; one son George William Warrick, child of her marriage to Edward Monroe Warrick of Decatur, Ill.; and granddaughter, Rebecca.
She is survived by two daughters, Rachel Warrick Enmgebretson and husband Andrew of Balsam Lake, Wisc. And Deborah Dunn Houck of Akron, Ohio, children of her first and second marriages respectively, as well as one brother Frank "Cotton" and wife Martha Paul McDaniel of Hartselle.
