Susan Hines, Chamber Chatter
The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a city Political Forum. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend. All candidates in the 2004 Hartselle municipal elections have been invited to participate.
The forum is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 16 at Sparkman Civic Center.
The agenda for the evening is as follows:
5:30 – 6:15 p.m. – Meet and Greet the candidates
6:30 p.m. Forum begins
All candidates will be sequestered until it is their turn to speak.
Candidates will appear in alphabetical order for each position, beginning with the mayoral candidates.
Each candidate will be given two minutes for opening remarks, be asked to answer a few questions, then they will have two minutes for their summary statements.
The questions for the forum are from qualified sources outside the chamber.
The Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-partisan organization and does not support or endorse candidates. Our position is to support and work with our elected officials for the good of Hartselle, its businesses and its residents.
We believe that it is important to know who you are voting for, what they stand for, what they want to accomplish and what their vision is for Hartselle. We encourage you to come to the forum and learn more about our municipal candidates.
