Funeral for Lola Mooneyham, 87, of Somerville was Tuesday, March 23, at 3 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Harlon Hood officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Mooneyham died Saturday, March 20, 2004, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 15, 1916, in Cullman to Elmer Lee Goree and Leona Lynn Goree. She was a member of the Blountsville United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Mooneyham was preceded in death by her husband, Dorell Mooneyham; three brothers, Otis Goree, Talmadge Goree and Lloyd Goree; and one sister, S.T. Wade.
She is survived by three sons, Jack Mooneyham and wife Latane and Joe Mooneyham and wife Martha, all of Blountsville and John Mooneyham, and wife, Marilyn of Decatur; one daughter, Willodyne Sandlin and husband, Jack of Somerville; one brother, Odell Goree of Somerville; two sisters, Eula Speed and Movaline Smith, both of Somerville; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to your favorite charity.
