Bad check writers target of round-up

By Staff
Staff Reports, Hartselle Enquirer
Bad check writers in Morgan County and Hartselle are encouraged to call the Morgan County District Attorney or face arrest.
Morgan County District Attorney Bob Burrell said his office is once again participating in a multi-county roundup of bad check writers. Morgan, Limestone and Madison counties are all taking part in the roundup.
Anyone in Morgan County with outstanding bad check warrants should contact the Morgan County Worthless Check Unit at 351-4607 to avoid being arrested in the roundup. Those who make full payments by March 22 can avoid arrest.
Warrants will also be sought for those who owe court costs, fines or restitution to Morgan County District Court, Morgan County Circuit Court, the City of Hartselle Municipal Court and the City of Decatur Municipal Court, if those individuals have been turned over to the district attorney for collection.
