Funeral for Dorothy Farley McHan Ayers, 86, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating.
Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Cullman County.
Mrs. Ayers died Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at her residence. She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Walker County to John Gilbert Farley and Emily Omega Turner Farley. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Hartselle. Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy McHan and Preston Ayers; three sons, John Ayers, Jimmy Ayers and Wayne McHan; three stepsons, Norman McHan, Thurman McHan and Theaddies McHan; and one stepdaughter, Thealene Cobb.
She is survived by two sons, Chester McHan and Randy McHan, both of Hartselle; two daughters, Joyce Hooven and Connie Weeks, both of Decatur; one stepdaughter, Essie Mabry of Florence; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Stephen Britt, Lamar Weeks, Jason Weeks, Thomas McHan, Gene Beasley and Shane Vinson.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
