Special camp for special kids
The Mental Health Association in Morgan County will hold a summer day camp for children in grades first-fifth who have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and other emotional disorders.
The camp will be held June 16-20 and June 23-27 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. each day at the T.C. Almon Recreation Center.
Cost is $25 for the two week program and the cost includes a camp t-shirt. Arrangements can be made for a scholarship if needed.
The camp will be led by certified elementary school teachers and a nurse with experience in a children's psychiatric facility.

HHS planning beauty walk
The 2003 Hartselle High School Beauty Walk, sponsored by the Les Amies School Sorority, will be held May 4 at 2 p.m. at Hartselle's Sparkman Civic Center. Proceeds from this year's pageant will be donated to area cancer and multiple sclerosis charities. This year's pageant will be emceed by Lee Marshall, morning and noon anchor with NBC's WAFF Ch 48. Registration set at Wallace
Early registration for summer 2003 semester classes begins Tuesday, May 6 at Wallace State College. The registration period runs through Thursday, May 29. Classes begin Wednesday, May 28.
The Wallace State admissions, financial aid and cashier offices will have extended hours during the registration period.

Christian club plans meeting
The Decatur Christian Women's Club invites all ladies from the area to its "Burst of Spring for Your Patio" luncheon May 2. The luncheon will be 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Decatur Country Club, 2401 Country Club Road. Master Gardener Jennifer Ward of Decatur will discuss container gardening. Rhonda Weaver, a practicing attorney from Nashville, will share "Briefcase to Diaper Bag and Back." Complimentary childcare will be provided by reservation.
