On Jan. 6, investigators with the Hartselle Police Department arrested Victor Karl Banks II, 22, of 504 Walnut Court in Decatur, and charged him with burglary in the third degree. On Dec. 27, 2002, Banks allegedly broke into Weaver's Car Wash, Highway 31 in Hartselle, and took $600 in cash, several boxes of air fresheners, Armorall wipes, cleaning towels, and assorted tools. Several thousand dollars in damages were also made to the car wash. HPD arrested Banks after first being apprehended by Priceville Police during the burglary of a car wash in Priceville. Courtland, Hillsboro, and Priceville Police Departments also charged Banks for car wash burglaries that have occurred in their jurisdictions in the past two weeks. Banks was processed into the Hartselle City Jail and later transferred to the Morgan County Jail where he was held on a $750 bond.
