Falkville swept at home

FALKVILLE – One made a comeback, the other didn't come close.
Either way, both Falkville teams fell to Lexington Friday night.
The Lady Blue Devils were down by as much as 15 but cut it to a single point before faltering in the end, while the boys were outscored 38-15 in the second half en route to a 77-41 loss.
Lexington 63, Falkville 57
Girls
Meagan Wiley scored 21 points, including 16 in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the Lady Blue Devils to upend Lexington.
Wiley also pulled down 15 rebounds and led her team to within one point at the end of the third quarter.
Her layup with 10.5 seconds remaining in the third cut the Lexington advantage to 42-41. From there, however, Falkville was outscored 21-16.
Alana Ridgeway proved to be a thorn in the Lady Blue Devils' side all night, scoring 25 points and going on a personal 8-0 run to begin the fourth quarter.
For Falkville, Jada Jones scored 17 points, Whitney Eaves had seven, while Beth Vest and Katie Barnett scored five points apiece.
The Lady Blue Devils are now 7-5 overall with a 2-3 Area 15 record.
Lexington 77, Falkville 41
Falkville built an 8-2 advantage at the beginning of the contest but soon fell victim to the all-around play of Lexington.
Lexington dominated with size underneath the basket, while the Blue Devils appeared cold from the field.
