Christmas on the Rocks opens at Noccalula Falls in Gadsden on Nov. 28 and will run through New Year's Eve Dec. 31. The event features more than a half million lights in the park, including more than 100 lighted displays. It will be open every night, weather permitting, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Galaxy of Lights continues at the Huntsville Botanical Lights Nov. 28 -Dec. 31 from 5:30-9 p.m. daily.
At the event, guests drive through a holiday light extravaganza, featuring animated nursery rhymes, a holiday village, dinosaurs, wild animals and garden scenes. This year also features a patriotic scene.
Admission is $10 per car with $1 off for a donation of canned goods, a coat, Toys for Tots item, child's book, paper goods or pet food. For more information, call 430-3572.
Nov. 29
Arab's eighth annual Christmas in the Park will take place Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. in the city park. Guest of honor will be Congressman Robert Aderholt, with featured entertainment by the Arab High School Jazz Band. Lights will be on display each night.
Dec. 5-15
The University of North Alabama's Alumni Association and Friends of the University will sponsor the Festival of Trees Dec. 5-15 in Coby Hall on the UNA campus.
The event includes the ante-bellum mansion decorated with individually designed Christmas trees.
Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. daily except for Sunday, which will be 1-5 p.m. Cost is $5 per person.
