A memorial service for Helen Holmes Pirkle, 45, of Destin, Fla., will be held Sunday, Oct. 20, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Legg officiating.
A memorial service was held at Sacred Heart Cancer Center Chapel in Pensacola, Fla. on Friday, Oct. 11.
Mrs. Pirkle died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Sacred Harp Cancer Center in Pensacola. A native of Morgan County, she was a Baptist.
She is survived by her husband, David Pirkle of Destin, Fla.; two sons, Charlie Reece of Huntsville and Justin Pirkle of Destin, Fla.; her mother, Earline (Carpenter) Holmes of Hartselle; six brothers, Carl Holmes and Freddy Holmes, both of Hartselle, Billy Holmes of Danville, Franklin Holmes of Vinemont, David Holmes of Cullman and Connie Holmes of Trinity; four sisters, Carolyn LeMaster, Janice Goodwin and Vickie Bradford, all of Hartselle and Linda Drinkard of Huntsville; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
