Livingston tops in campaign funds

With the June 4 primary just around the corner, candidates seeking office recently filed required financial disclosure reports listing contributions and expenditures. The Alabama Fair Campaign Practices Act requires disclosures be made for contributions or expenditures in excess of $1,000 for anyone in office or seeking office.
Local offices on the ballot are Morgan County Commission seats, district one and two; revenue and license commissioners; sheriff; and places on the Board of Education.
The following contributions were made to Morgan County candidates:
Seeking the office of Morgan County Sheriff, Ronald Livingston, was one of the largest money raisers, reporting $12,000 in contributions, including:
