Danville girls down Falkville

Danville's Lady Hawks softball team put another notch on their fast-pitch belt with a 9-3 victory over cross-county rival, the Falkville Lady Devils.
Kristy Roberts and Jana Holbert combined for a two-hitter. Roberts got the win in four innings in the circle, with Holbert providing two innings of relief. Falkville's Heather Ricks took the loss.
Katie Templeton got the big hit for the Lady Hawks with a double and added a single to lead the chart.
Connecting for base hits for Danville were Roberts, Lindsey Kelsoe, Emily Long for two, Holbert, Tonya Howard for two, Liz Jones for two and April Suggs for one.
Holmes and Williams collected the only Falkville hits.
