Blue Devils sweep West End in area play

Caden Butler led three Falkville players in double digits with 12 points as the Blue Devils earned a 53-48 area win over West End this past Thursday. The Blue Devils improved to 3-1 in area play.

Logan Fowler added 11 points and Dawson Fowler had 10 for Falkville, who led 30-22 at the half. Eli Harris and Jaxson Dabbs finished with eight points each.

Decatur Heritage 58, Falkville 54
The Blue Devils dropped a hard-fought battle with Decatur Heritage 58-54 to fall to 2-1 in area play last Tuesday. Falkville led 29-28 at halftime and 40-39 heading into the fourth quarter.

Eli Harris led the Blue Devils with 13 points. Dawson Fowler added 12 and Butler had 10 points.

Falkville 50, Lindsay Lane 43
Caden Butler finished with a game-high 19 points in Falkville’s 50-43 win over Lindsay Lane on Jan. 6. The Blue Devils’ led 22-20 at halftime and 36-30 after the third quarter.

Lincoln Jones added nine points, while Dawson Fowler had six and six rebounds.

Girls
Falkville 59, West End 48

The Lady Blue Devils improved to 2-2 in area play with a 59-48 win over West End last Thursday.

Abbey Grace Tomlin led Falkville with 17 points and four rebounds. Leah Pierce added 11 points, while Hannah Roden added 10 points.

Decatur Heritage 68, Falkville 47
Falkville fell to 1-2 in area play with a 68-47 loss to 2A No. 3 Decatur Heritage. Pierce finished with 18 points to lead Falkville. Ellie Cate Hill added 11, while Tomlin pitched in 10.

Genie McGhee finished with a double-double, 19 points and 12 steals to lead Decatur Heritage. She also had eight rebounds and eight assists. Leslie Hames added 16 points, while Emma Eastman added 10 points.

Falkville 60, Lindsay Lane 25
Falkville raced past Lindsay Lane 60-25 as the Lady Blue Devils celebrated senior night. Leah Pierce had 17 to lead Falkville. Hill added 13 points, while Tomlin scored 10 points.
