A Hartselle restaurant is listed in the latest version of the state tourism department's popular brochure "100 dishes to eat in Alabama before you die."
The "Mercedes Special skillet at Las Vias is a recommended dish.
The brochure is in its third edition. It lists dishes at restaurants in 96 cities across the state.
Recommendations range from white chicken chili at Jessie's Caf/ in Albertville to crab cakes and dill sauce at Our Place Caf/ in Wetumpka. Also in the listing are catfish and hush puppies at Greenbrier in Athens and hot orange rolls at All-Streak in Cullman.
