Frazier finishes 12th at decathlon

Hartselle’s Jordan Frazier finished 12th at the AHSAA Decathlon at Hoover High School Monday and Tuesday.

Frazier had 4,964 points, finishing behind mostly 6A athletes. Greg Coleman from McGill-Toolen was the state decathlon champion with 5,824.

His best events were the 100m dash and the 110m hurdles. He had a time of 15.3 in the hurdles to score 814 points. That was the fastest time in that event.

His time of 11.63 in the dash gave him 725 points. He also performed well in the long jump (20-4.25), the high jump (5-5.75) and the 400m (56.34).

His other results were 29-6 in the shot put, 68-5 in the discus, 9-0.25 in the pole vault, 115-10 in the javelin and 5:50.61 in the 1,500 meters.
