A Hartselle man has earned honors in a statewide photo contest. Dr. Ed Strother earned second place honors in The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’s Outdoor Alabama Photo Contest. Strother’s award was second place in the mammal’s category. His photo is among a collection of 21 winning entries highlighting the best of the state’s natural beauty. The collection will be traveling throughout the state in April, making stops in Birmingham, Mongomery, Mobile, Eufaula and Huntsville. The photos were also part of last month’s Outdoor Alabama magazine.
