Funeral for David Lee Roberts, 24, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), Jan. 4, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating.
Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born October 6, 1982, in Richmond County, Ga. to Randal Roberts and Linda Gail Goree. He fought a good fight with his illnesses, was a good student who had a positive attitude and enjoyed life and his friends.
He is survived by his mother, Linda Gail Goree of Hartselle; his father, Randal Roberts of Georgia; a brother, Thomas Randal Roberts of Georgia; three aunts, Helen Goree, Leona Goree and Mary Ann Goree; five uncles, Terry Goree, Billy Goree, Ricky Goree, Kenneth Goree and John Worley Sr.; his grandmother, Marie Worley; and his grandfather, Thomas Frank Roberts. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah McCormick, Mike Davis, J.R. Loughman, Eric Weaver, Michael Eckert and Danny Howell Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Burch, Darren King and Chris Legg.
