Priceville edges Fairview

Priceville rallied to beat Fairview 58-55 in the first round of the Class 4A, Area 13 tournament at Good Hope Thursday night.

Molly Thompson poured in 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Lady Bulldogs (12-16). Katie Barker also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while Peyton Parker had 7 points and 9 assists.

Jada Beverly finished with 7 points. McKenzie Parker and Amanda St. John added 2 points each.

For Fairview, Annie Holcomb led the way with 20 points while Sabrina Russell had 10 points

The Lady Bulldogs play Saturday at 7 p.m. against Good Hope for the area championship.

The winner will host the loser of the Class 4A, Area 11 championship between Dora and Haleyville on Feb 16 in a sub-regional game. The loser of the Priceville-Good Hope game will travel to the winner of Dora vs. Haleyville.

Other scores:

Class 3A, Area 15: West Morgan 39, Danville 34. The Lady Hawks end the season with a 16-13 record.

Class 5A, Area 13: Brewer 74, West Point 54. The Lady Patriots will host Cullman for the area championship Saturday at 7 p.m.

Class 2A, Area 15: Tanner 65, Falkville 43. The Lady Blue Devils’ end the season with a
