Athens downs Lady Tigers

A combination of hot shooting from both the low post and perimeter enabled the Athens Lady Golden Eagles (10-7) to pull away early in the game and finish strong in a 68-38 win against Hartselle’s Lady Tigers at the Pettey Center on Jan. 3.
The Lady Golden Eagles led 31-15 at halftime.
Leading the way for Hartselle was Quanesha Burks with 12 points. Bellaine Allen followed with 8 points and Sarah Horner netted 7.
Destany McLin and Alliyah Smith paced the Lady Golden Eagles with 27 and 21 points, respectively.
