Basket Brigade to distribute Friday

On Friday beginning at 11 a.m., students, their parents, family members, friends and volunteers will meet at Osborne Warren Oden Center, located at 906 Roberts Court, to package the dinners.

Following completion of the dinners, they will be delivered to families in Hartselle, Falkville, Eva, Decatur, Somerville, Priceville and Cullman.

During the last several weeks, students have been asking for donations form family members, friends and businesses.

The money was used to purchase food that makes up a basket, which includes a Bible, turkey, dressing, various vegetables, dinner rolls, a dessert, soft drink and a roasting pan – all to make a fantastic dinner.

As of Dec. 15, there will be enough for 193 dinners.

For more information or to make a donation, please contact Donna Chappell at 256-751-3325 or cfkclions@aol.com or Amanda Bussey at 256-612-4438 or amcbussey@gmail.com.
