Funeral for Dovie Higdon, 95, of Wayne, Mich., formerly of Somerville, was Monday, April 24, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Mrs. Higdon died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, Mich. She was born March 19, 1911, in Rhea, Tenn., to Robert Lee Moses and Lena Brady Moses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Higdon and two sons, Shorty Higdon and Henry Higdon.
She is survived by a son, Ed Higdon of Wayne, Mich.; two daughters, Geraldine Rizick of Trenton, Mich and Carrie Hale of Detroit, Mich; two brothers, Junior Doyle Moses and Easton Moses, both of Priceville; two sisters, Bonnie Thompson of Decatur and Gladys Prater of Priceville.
