Funeral for Earline Holmes, 84, of Hartselle was Sunday, April 16, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mrs. Holmes died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born June 16, 1921, in Lawrence County to William Abner Carpenter and Velma Kent Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Holmes; a son, Kenneth Ray Holmes; and a daughter, Helen Pirkle.
She is survived by six sons, Billy Holmes and wife Evon of Danville, Carl Holmes and wife Linda and Freddie Holmes, all of Hartselle, Franklin Holmes of Vinemont, David Holmes of Cullman and Connie Holmes and wife Terri of Trinity; four daughters, Carolyn Lemaster and husband Curtis and Janice Goodwin, all of Hartselle, Linda Holmes of Huntsville, and Vicky Wilbourn and husband Ricky of Grant; a sister, Mary Anne Maples of Falkville; 18 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Holmes, Connie Holmes, Shawn Holmes, Shane Burgess, Ashley Holmes, Jerry Holmes and Franklin Holmes.
Honorary pallbearers were Keith Holmes, Wade Brindley, Chad Holmes, Chris Holmes, Dewayne Hooper, Dwight Carpenter, Wayne Carpenter and Ricky Wilbourn.
