Funeral for Michael D. Roden, 59, of Eva was Tuesday, April 11, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Herbert Smith and David Smith officiating.
Burial was in Bell Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Roden died Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Woodland Medical Center in Cullman. He was born January 24, 1947, in Etowah County to Clarence Lee Roden and Lassie Leola Randolph Roden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Roden, his parents, a sister and two brothers. He is survived by a son, Mikie Roden and wife Kim of Eva; three daughters, Missy Fricks and husband Allen and Jeanelle Mathis and husband Philip, all of Cullman, and Nancy Chaney and husband Freddie of Eva; two brothers, Samuel Roden and Connie Roden, both of Gadsden; four sisters, Reba Nelms of Forest Park, Ga. and Donna Hicks, Sandra Drake and Lawana Brown, all of Gadsden; a sister-in-law, Cliffie Norris of Decatur; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers were David Smith, Joe Gurley, Sylvester Smith, David Mason, Jonathan Chaney, Curtis Chaney Jr., Leslie Peace and Anthony Peace.
