A 2-year-old Hartselle girl was killed in a wreck on South Bethel Road Wednesday afternoon after the car she was riding in left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The crash occurred at 4:20 p.m. a half of a mile south of Priceville. Elizabeth Claire Guess, 2, of Hartselle was killed when the 1995 Lincoln she was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The driver of the vehicle, Laura E. Roper, 25, of Hartselle and another passenger Haley Williams, 18, also of Hartselle were injured and taken to a local hospital.

State Troopers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
