Funeral for Ann Douglas, 70, of Falkville will be Fri., Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Gunter officiating.

Burial will be in Falkville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Fri., Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Douglas died Tues., Dec. 6, 2011, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born May 30, 1941, in Florida to James David Curtis ad Fannie Murlene Rose Curtis. She owned Ann’s Flowers in Falkville for many years and was well known for her love of family, flowers and community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Douglas.

She is survived by a son, Kirt Douglas of Hartselle; two daughters, LaDonna Brooks of Arley and Pat Sigle of Huntsville; a sister, Sue Lewis of Mobile; an adopted son, Eugene Braswell of Arley; five grandchildren, Crystal Alexander, J.B. Brooks, Justin Barron, Emily Brooks and Aaliyah Douglas; and a great-granddaughter, Kaitlee Alexander.
