Stanley Wayne George

A memorial service for Stanley Wayne George, 58, of Man-chester, Tenn. will be conducted Thur. (today), Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Manchester Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Levengood officiating.

Mr. George died Fri., Nov. 25, 2011, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born in Hartselle to Ruby George and Robert E. George. He was employed as a dispatcher for Direct TV and was a 34-year employee of Carrier Corp. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was an avid Alabama football and Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and enjoyed coaching girl’s softball and boy’s baseball. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. George and a brother, Gary George.

He is survived by his wife, Susan George of Manchester; two daughters, Valerie Lemmons and husband Jim of Manchester and Robin McDaniel and husband Shannon of Chattanooga; a son, Danny George of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his mother, Ruby George of Manchester, Tenn.; a brother, Randy George and wife Kathy of Woodbury; a sister, Karen McCullough and husband Mike of Manchester; four grandchildren, Taylor, Thomas and Ali Lemmons and Brynn McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
