A graveside service for Henry Willis Fowler, 88, of Union Hill was Monday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at Blue Springs Cemetery in Florette with Charles Holloway officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Fowler died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005. He was born April 18, 1917, and lived his entire life in Morgan County. He was a farmer and a World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry Starling and Fannie Victoria Blevins Fowler; three brothers, William Porter Fowler, Willard Jack Fowler and Wilton Starling Fowler; three sisters, Miriam Louise Bowling, Fannie Loella McDonald and Minnie Lora McDonald; and a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Ann Lawler Fowler.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Cora Lee Bowling Fowler of Union Hill; children, Melba Ann Haga and husband Bobby of Union Hill, Paul Kenneth Fowler and wife Deborah of Huntsville and Sheron Jane Corl and husband David of Florence; sisters, Flora Lucille Cobbs and Annie Lorene Pearson Edmonson, both of Decatur; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
