Funeral for William Alvin Couey, 92, of Hartselle will be Sat., Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackman officiating.

Visitation will be Fri., Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home

Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.

Mr. Couey died Thurs., Oct. 27, 2011, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1919, in Morgan County to Pascal “Pat” Couey and Ethel Yeager Couey. He was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and was preceded in death by two brothers, Arvel Couey and Harold Couey and four sisters, Ruby White, Eula V. Lawrence, Marvelene Self and Sarah B. Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Speegle Couey; a daughter, Teresa Couey Snyder and husband George of Huntsville; and two grandsons, Walter Snyder and Hunter Snyder.
