Tigers II blank Priceville 20-0

The 9/10-Year-Old Hartselle Tigers II improved to 2-0 on the season last Saturday with a 20-0 blanking of the Priceville Bulldogs.
The Tigers got the scoring started early as EJ Turner took the handoff from Tyler Phillips and broke to the outside for a 47-yard sprint to the end zone on the third play of the game. Turner's big run came as a result of the powerhouse blocking of Tyler Vinson, Thomas Fleischman, Riley Wiggins, Finn Petrides, James Glenn, Hunter Livingston, Jack Slate, Nick Beach, Karmel Rodgers and Nicholas Hillman.
But a determined Priceville team was not going to give up without a fight.
They made some quick adjustments that seemed to slow down the Hartselle offense.
Even so, early in the third quarter the aggressive play of the Tiger defense began to pay off. With the Bulldogs taking the ball on their own 7-yard line, Thomas Fleischman burst through with a huge sack that pinned them down on the 3-yard line.
On the next play, Finn Petrides rushed from the outside, and caught the Bulldog quarterback in the end zone for a safety.
That seemed to be just the spark the offense needed, and the Tigers started rolling.
Turner burst open for a 41-yard score on the next series and later added a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown to seal the game' s final score at 20-0.
Defensively, the Tigers continued to shine behind the outstanding play of Thomas Fleischman, Joseph McAnally, Tyler Vinson, Riley Wiggins, Tyler Phillips, Finn Petrides, EJ Turner, Nicholas Hillman, Nick Beach, Devin French, Derick French, Forrest Beverly, Malachi Brown, James Glenn, Dillon Durand, Karmel Rodgers and Jack Slate.
The Tigers II are coached by Johnny Jones, Shane Wiggins, John Fleischman and Jeff Hillman.
