A graveside service for Elizabeth Blair Roberts, 93, of Hartselle will be Thurs., Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Thurs., Sept. 29, from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the cemetery.

Mrs. Roberts died Tues., Sept. 27, 2011, at Riverside Assisted Living in Decatur. She was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Morgan County to Lula Mae Summers Blair and Samuel Allie Blair. She was a lifelong resident of Hartselle and a member of First Baptist Church since an early age. In addition to being a homemaker, she owned and operated “Elizabeth’s” for many years. She was a member of Hartselle Garden Club, Rainbow Garden Club and Current Review Club and served as president of Burningtree Women’s Golf Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy D. Roberts and two sons, Michael D. Roberts and Larry B. Roberts.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Beth Livingstone Roberts of Decatur; four grandsons, Dr. Michael Neel Roberts and Taylor Davis Roberts, both of Decatur and Blair Roberts and Kevin Roberts, both of St. Petersburg, FL; six great-grandchildren, Shelby Taylor Roberts, Judson Dixon Roberts, Michael Davis Roberts II and Miller Elizabeth Roberts, all of Decatur and Collin Davis Roberts and Ashlyn Blair Roberts, both of St, Petersburg, FL.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Neal Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Blair Roberts, Kevin Roberts, Edward W. Smith and Scott Stone.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, P.O. Box 2745, Decatur, AL 35602.
