Thompson, Blaylock exchange vows
Susan Amy Thompson of Falkville and Michael Allan Blaylock of Hartselle were wed Dec. 18, 2004, at 4 p.m. at West Hartselle Baptist Church with Dr. Rob Jackson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tony and Jo Anne Thompson of Falkville. The groom is the son of Lane Hampton of Hartselle and Robert "Butch" Blaylock of Decatur.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of white duchess satin and silk chiffon. The molded strapless bodice was richly adorned with multi-faceted crystal beads and accented with silver bugle beads. The gown's focal interest was the laced corselette back. The soft ball gown skirt of silk organza was circular and swept into a chapel train. Her veil of imported French tulle was held by a matching bridal bandeau of crystals.
Nikkii Sewell of Falkville was matron of honor.
Bridal attendants were Miranda Parker, April Blaylock and Amanda Hampton, sister of the groom, all of Hartselle, Amanda Thompson, sister of the bride, and Caylor Sewell, both of Falkville, Anna Lawler of Owens Crossroads and Ariane Enkelmann of Halle, Germany.
Carly Parker of Hartselle was flower girl. Daniel Wilson of Madison was ring bearer.
Christopher Blaylock of Hartselle, brother of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Ryan Blaylock, brother of the groom, and Randy Summerford, both of Hartselle, Brad Terry of Trinity, Paul McSherry of Madison, Byron Richardson of Thorsby, Steve Wallace and Jordan Smith, both of Falkville.
Music was provided by singer Kim Smith, violinist Jacob Frank, and pianist Deanna Anderson.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the Wright Center.
Wanda Walsh, Tammy Holmes, Robin Holmes, Jan Washam, Elizabeth Bradford, Mary McDonald, Becky Grantland, Maggie Parr, Sissi Tanksley, Shirley Funk, Iris Wiggins, Joyce Blackmon, Carol Chandler and Wanda Woodruff assisted with the reception.
Jenelle Hembree was wedding director.
Crystal Roper attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned at Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. They reside in Madison.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by Lane and Jim Hampton was held Dec. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Red House Grill.
The couple was honored with several prenuptial events, including:

Jim and Marla Fuqua of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Candida Dyan Fuqua of Decatur, to Bradley Wade Long of Decatur, son of Mike Long of Moulton and Dan and Kay Carroll of Decatur.
The bride-elect is graduate of Hartselle High School. She is a member of a pool league and a bass player. She is the granddaughter of Jim and Becky Fuqua of Winfield and John L. and Eloise Harkness of Fayette.
The groom-elect is a graduate of East Lawrence High School and Wallace State College. He is a member of a pool league and a bass player. He is the grandson of Marie Morgan and Faynell McCulloch, both of Moulton, and the late Arnold Morgan and Rube Long.
The wedding will be held April 30 at Annabella at Cedar Glen of Huntsville.
