Funeral for Luther W. Roberts, 83, of Hartselle will be Friday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Hartselle with the Rev. Nathanial Green officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Thur., Sept. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery near Danville.

Mr. Roberts died Tues., Sept. 20, 2011, at his residence. He was born Aug. 7, 1928, in Lawrence County to Wesley Roberts and Lucy Roberts. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth Grace Roberts, a son, Lowell Roberts, and a daughter, Barbra Hughes.

He is survived by three sons, Floyd Porter and wife Tracy of O’Fallen, Mo., Paul Roberts and wife Patti of Hartselle and Wendell Roberts and wife Pam of Athens; four daughters, Debbie Quick and husband Jerry and Rebecca Roberts, both of St, Louis, Mo. and Shirley Clemons and Bonnie Whisman and husband Marty, both of Hartselle; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Smith, Dustin Cook, Justin Roberts, Wendell Roberts, Paul Roberts and Floyd Porter.
