Funeral for Carlos E. Goodwin, 82, of Hartselle was Tuesday, April 5, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Nappier officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Goodwin died Saturday, April 2, 2005, at his residence. He was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Blount County to Claude Edgar Goodwin and Ethel Mae Faile Goodwin. He was retired from the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific in World War II. He was a retired carpenter and farmer. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Goodwin of Hartselle; one son, Charles E. Goodwin and wife Kathy of Hartselle; one daughter, Cheryl Yarbrough of Hartselle; one sister, Lounell Adams of Hereford, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Jason Goodwin and wife Sandy, Lauren Goodwin, Leigh Ann Sanders and husband Richard and David Yarbrough; and one great-grandchild, Kaitlyn Yates.
Pallbearers were grandson and nephews.
